Perhaps running a beacon on 10m is "difficult" in Mexico. In the UK there
are all sorts of rules to follow for unattended operation. Putting on 11m
makes some sense. Who gives a fig about the chicken box bands. And it
will let you know there is propagation to XE on at least 11m.

You mean only listen on ham bands for propagation indications? How dumb!
There's huge numbers of useful signals to check on that are outside of our
bands.
