The PARTY guests' comment: (HOT-PARTY 17-Nov-2002)
---------------------------
The HOT-PARTY is more than a test: a "RENDEZ VOUS" (F8CB)
Vy gld to take part in the contest (F8IL) (Age: 94 years!!!)
Nice party! A pity that running the TX at full power would overload the
RX (DL1ARH)
The contest went quite well. 5kHz wide filters made CW tedious (DL2MFP)
Thanks for sending the results by snail-mail. It is always big fun to
read comments from other participants. At least when facing the ionsphere
all men are created equal (DL1HTX)
Glad to see 30 years old for commercial equipment...Vy noisy on 7 - QRN and
unknown QRM (G3VDL)
A not so easy competition...unfortunately no luck on 80m (HB9APJ)
Compared with the results of 2001, DL0OG must have used the oldest
equipment this year (DJ2GL)
Sri, at 1600 my TX gave up its ghost. Alas! (DJ2XP)
Not many QSO's, but am veray satisfied my "oldies" still work. RX tubes are
more than 60 years old! No PC, no automatic keyer (OK2BTT)
My results were a little better this year, but experienced the usual
difficulty of a QRP station trying to be heard.
I wish I had a 30+ year old rig! (G2HLU)
After a warm-up phase of 6 hours my transmitter showed satisfactory
stability...The turn-around times are too short for us homebrewers...sending
call sign once and immediately going back to receive is too fast for those
who have to throw a number of switches from transmit to receive (DJ7RS)
Despite only a few QSOs it was a special experience again (DM3XI)
Amateur Radio at its very roots! Fun just the same (DK7JZ)
The K1 got finished just in time and worked well. Thank you for a nice
Contest (DL1RNN)
40m took off well, towards the end more and more commercial QRM.
I let my valves glow again and was looking forward to the HOT-PARTY (DL9QM)
Yet another hour and I could have fried eggs on my TRX (DL2AWA)
...I laid my hand on a Trio JR-599 RX and TX 599 transmitter from which I was
told would meet the criteria.
In spite of its technical age it functioned beautifully (PA3AHN)
RX HRO from 1946! All original tubes etc. I like this contest (OK2BPA)
Unfortunately I could take part only for te last 5 minutes this time (DK7ZT)
Tnx fer nice test again. Lots of QRM as usual. See you next year (SM6ERS)
Still going strong, the good old HW9...Hope I can take part regularly for
many years to come (DK1JD)
An fb QRM-free nostalgic sparks highlight and commendable behaviour (DJ7RU)
Finished the poor man's PA shortly after the 80m part began. The dirt-cheap
MOSFETs (MTP3055) work up to 30MHz (DK9KR)
...out of order for 6 months, now glad to take part again with a small
contribution (DL9HCW)
My FT-200 was in storage but it only needed a little work and a memory
exercise to get it on the air again (G3CQR)
I like the HOT-PARTY, all operators are gentle. This year I have a worse
result because my antennas worked worse in rain and storm (SP9QJ)
Had to half my contest-time: there was a clash with my xyl's, YO2DM,
birthday party (YO2IS)
Again much fun - that's what really counts! (ON4ADR)
Many thanks for mail from the QRPCC (DL1AZK)
My sets and I were waiting many days for this contest.
But the results are not satisfying (SP3BOL)
Again a great experience, conds good most of the time, and the hardware
worked well - fb! (DL1JGA)
My start was delayed by 40mins due to problems with a newly run antenna
feedline (DJ7TE)
Tuning with paddle (ELBC) no problem, not even in a contest (DJ3KK)
Unfortunately I got home from abroad with the contest only 45 minutes
to go. It is remarkable that oldtime equipment can cope so well with
my weak QRP signal (DL6AAF).
On 40m heavy QRM from SM-contest during the last hour.
On 80m vy fb conditions (OZ9KC)
Supreme again...my computer crashed, therfore no serial numbers from other
stations (DL1AVH)

Many thanks again to Eddi, DK3UZ, for translating
