Thanks for the feedback so far ... 

If one reads the documentation on LinFBB,  it is stated there that an 'H'  is
used in PORT.SYS ... If KISS mode is used, an 'X' is used in PORT.SYS file ..

It implies that KISS is not used for the PTCII ... If not I don't know how to
split the COM port to cater for the three tnc's for one com port either, as I
can  only  find instructions to do that using KISS mode (mkiss command) !!!

I need instructions  on how the  Linux comports are  configured to allow  the
PTCII three  built-in TNC's  to be  'seen' ...  In my  version of Linux (SuSe
v9.0) the ax25 configuration looks for a file, ax25.config, which contain the
script to enable various drivers like  kiss, scc, 6pack and dsri etc ... That
is the file I need a copy of please ...
