Notes of interest:
HP - PANAMA (Special Event). Members of the Panama Radio Club invite all
amateur radio stations in the world to make a contact with special
event station HP100RCP to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the
Republic of Panama. Activity will take place November 1-3rd on all
bands on modes CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK31. A special commemorate QSL can be
obtained by sending your QSL plus 2 IRC or one USD to: Radio Club
de Panama, P.O. Box 10745, Panama 4, Panama. You can view the
special event station at HP100RCP and the QSL card on PRC's Web

JD1- Ogasawara. JD1YAB is active till 31 August. QSL's will be sent
automatically via the bureau. [TNX RTDX]
TG - GUATEMALA. Look for Mario, TG9ADQ, Francisco, TG9ANF, Edgar,
TG9AXF and Sergio, TG9SM to be QRV as TG0AA on June 29 and 30
from Pacaya,an active volcano located 17 miles away from Guatemala
City. They will be active on 40, 20, 17 and 15 meters using SSB,
RTTY, SSTV and PSK31. QSL via TG9AXF. [TNX ARLD]
V31- Belize by N5WD as V31WD and KB5UAE as V31UA between July 15 and
July 21. Look for them on PSK31. [TNX RTDX]
ZS - SOUTH AFRICA. John, KC8KAM is QRV as ZS6/KC8KAM until July 4 from
Eldorado park. This is not a DXpedition, so he is active as time
permits. Activity is primarily SSB with some PSK31 on 80, 40, 20,
17 and 15 meters. QSL to home call. [TNX ARLD]
PSK GRID SQUARE CONTEST
The TARA PSK Grid Square contest (The Grid Dip). Sponsored by Troy
ARA, 0000z through 2400z, 2 August, PSK (and speed) and RTTY.
80,40,20,15,10,6 meters. Work stations once per band unless Rover
has changed Locator. Exchange name, 4 digit grid locator. Enter 1
of 5 categories. QRP, 5w max. Low, 20w max. High, 100w max. Rover,
50w max. as a portable or mobile station operating from more than
one Grid Locator, or SWL. Single/single only. Call CQ Grid Dip.
Final score is QSO points * total different Grid Locators. Mults.
count once per band. To be valid, scores must be received via our
online score submission form found at
