Try pin 5 too. I have a miniture SPDT switch so I can switch

standardized on which pin to use.

Should work, provided you hae a 16 bit sound card

Hi Fellow Warblers;

Using Yaesu FT-1000 and Desktop computer at home with routine interface
requiring isolation transformers and appropriate voltage dividers;
however for the mobile have found that straight through Radio Shack
cable from the Earphone Out jack to the 706 Mk II Din Connector AF IN
Pink Pin 11 works fine, however for the AF Out Pin 12 Light blue 706 Mk
II Din, you must have a voltage divider to drop the Sony Mic jack input
signal to a more appropriate level. You should experiment with a value
for the divider, but a 220K to 50K voltage drop is a start. The value
seems to depend on the software you are using. Peter's software is a
little more tolerent, while WinPsk advises you to reduce the input
tones. I added this info concerning the 706-Sony Laptop combination
because it is usually the transceiver mic input that requires a voltage
drop. I use the KISS system for keying; a Radio Shack footswitch
connected to the 706 Mk II Din Pin 3 Orange and the Din GND Pin 2 Red.
Works great!! I'm now full service mobile. Will be mobiling in SEP from
SDiego to RI; listen for me. 73's de N6DUR BOB

Hi Fellow PSK31 Users;

Reading the latest March QST Page 90 article should open our eyes to why
we are hearing Pactor all around 14070.

I can now see how us warbler's are not too appreciated. This article is
worth reading.
