Hi,
Unfortunatly, I don't see enough PSK31 activity on 40 Meters here in
the states, I send CQs out on 7080 with no response. I also try HELL,
RTTY no takers. I think we need to get off the internet and on the
radio more.

I wonder if that may be part of the trouble.. I don't
remember ever tuning down that low on the 40 mtr band, I
generally tune from 7.065 to 7.085 and usually nothing
heard...
Try moving up some around 7.070 and 7.085 I think I've seen
where the excepted freq of 7.080 is more desirable...

Hi, there seems to be a real problem with psk-activity on 40 m. I am qrv
quite often around 7034 - 7035 khz +/- qrm between 2100 and 2400 UTC, very
often calling cq for more than an hour without any response. There are nice
dx conds during that time of day, therefore it is hard to understand why
only so few people seem to work in psk on 40 m. Would be glad to meet more
of you on that band.

Dear Patrick,
This is a wild guess, but consider first that the recording (input) channel(s)
of the sound card should be muted. This goes for Line Input & Microphone Inputs.
The level settings are not the problem, just the mute check boxes.

That's a good point. I was thinking about starting a 30M PSK Net . Perhaps
Daily at 0200Z. Anyone interested and anyone willing to share NCS duties ?
30 meters looks like an interesting band to try, may perhaps propagate out a
little further than 40M.
