I clipped this from the EA2BAJ PSK31 HomePage:

New version (still Beta) for Linux + Sound Blaster by Hansi Reiser
DL9RDZ. Please see details for compiling and using at his Homepage.

          Old is still here: psk31lx-0.5.tgz

Has anyone a grasp on how the IMD calculation is done by the software?

I have been attempting to compare the resulting IMD data when using
LOGGER-psk31sbw and MIXw32. It appears that in MIXw32, the readout is
"Latched" to indicate the last successful measurement by the software. I
am not sure that the PSK31sbw code is doing the same thing.

I am attempting to imagine in my own mind's eye a flow chart of how the
calculation is accomplished. I am not a programmer. I realize that
there is most likely more than one method to implement the IMD feature.

I think the MIXw32 calculation results in a higher IMD when compared to
receiving the same psk31 signal with the PSK31sbw code. I keep my
FT1000 set to SLOW AGC. I also believe that when using a narrower
bandpass (WIDTH control) with either the 250Hz or 500Hz I.F. filter, the
IMD readout result improves somewhat.

Any comments that shed some light on this will be appreciated.

Howdy...

How many people have run some kind of psk software under linux? I have
Redhat Version 6.0 working and would like to see if I can get psk to work as
well.

First off, where can I find the programs that are designed as linux based
software, and secondly, has anyone managed to get a Dos based psk program to
run under Linux with the Dos simulating modules?

Any help much appreciated.

Some are using DL9RDZ's (Hansi) console version. I know of a
dozen or so who are testing twpsk. I used Hansi's code and just put
a window interface on top with a phase scope, spectrum analyser, waterfall
etc.
Needs lesstif.

Tried Peter's version with wine, but it didn't work.
