Regarding the ~300 kHz DGPS receivers: The signals are 50/100/200 bps MSK
signals. Some amateurs have tried to hack a homebrew receiver, but I don't
know of any successes. Two companies that I know of are selling small,
board-level "OEM" DGPS receivers:

I use my pk232mbx/dsp with logger on the do cluster and on pactor1. It works
well.
You have to use it with verbose mode and not in host mode. If you use xpwin,
easyterm, etc etc programs and exit and then try to use logger, it won't
work. you will have to exit in the command mode to be able to use logger.
You must use the verbose commands and not host mode commands. Hope that
helps.

Logger appears to work correctly here for me. The transmit net to the
receive freq. Happens at the moment the transmitter is keyed. Before that
the two boxes may show a different freq., but when the transmitter keys the
net box matches the AFC box. I have them both checked all the time and have
had no problems at all.

Same here, Doug. I think that most guys expect the two windows to remain

I have no way of running Logger or MIXW on my system and I have not
seen either of them in use, hence my suggestion that if users of
these programs find that the way they work is not compatible with my
original intention, they might care to alert the respective authors.
However, the authors may have their own intentions: it's a free world.

There is a new Spanish Windows Help File for Windows SB version 1.08 translated
and assembled in .HLP format by Pauli EA3BLQ. The file is here

ftp://det.bi.ehu.es/pub/ham/psk31/p31sbw108-es.zip and here

http://www.kender.es/~edu/download/p31sbw108-es.zip

Even if you managed to put the program at work without understanding anything
in the Help file, you can allways get some very interesting concepts from the
help file.

PD: I think than now we only miss a French and and a German Help files to
answer most questions about PSK31.

Subject: Re: [psk31] AFC/NET in Logger WORKS

Hello Peter, PSKers.
I may have put my foot in my mouth with a past posting about net/afc. The
posting may have been taken/posted the wrong way. It seems there was
confusion when the Net box and AFC box in logger showed different
frequencies. Many users thought that both SHOULD show the same frequency as
the program locks on to the signals when the NET and AFC boxes are checked.
This is NOT the case in Logger V6.09.

The boxes show both frequencies so you can see the difference. This is the
way Bob most likely intended it to be. If the user has both the NET and the
AFC boxes checked, your transmitted signal will automatically lock into the
received signal. After a split second duration when you hit the transmit
button BOTH boxes will show the same frequency to show that the signals are
on track. Logger AFC/NET works fine. V6.09 is the best upgrade so far for
psk31.
Thank you Bob and Peter for great software and sometimes the unsung heroes of
Amateur Radio. Per a posting by the ARRL let us suggest to them that PSK31
shluld be the best newest mode for the millenium.
73, Amen................Marty K2HTO
