Thanks to all that participated in this weekend's PSK31 contest. Conditions
were not that great in North America at least. Logs have started to arrive
via email. A claimed score page should be up by Sunday or Monday.

As Murphy's Law would have predicted , our Internet provider had a crash
today in the middle of the contest. Some contestants looking for the rules
on the web page were up able to get through. Hopefully it will be fixed
soon. Email is working so send those logs in !

I had a problem with the unziping of the full version the other night as
well, it's a problem with the FILES.ZIP file.
This is what I get:

Mute the mic input to your soundcard to kill the rig sound in your
computer speakers. Don't know why your rig speaker is not working, but
that sounds like a different problem.

I downloaded only the update to 6.09, unzipped and installed it and all
is well on two different systems. All PSK31 problems taken care of that I
have found.

Sounds like the full 6.09 zip file was corrupted at the source.

Hello, enjoyed the contest yesterday, certainly proves the mode and
software. Thanks to all for the few QSOs that I had and two of the biggest
DX contacts on any mode ever, in DU3NXE and P43P all on 40 watts and
ground-mounted vertical. Thanks to BOB for wonderful Logger program as
well, once I had got the macros set right it was as easy as working a CW
contest. Look forward to the next one.

Hi All:

Good activitie as watched from here, but didn't listen too much NA stations,
added several new countries to my list (VK2, A92, etc , good time slot for
single/single op (24h), run using Logger 6.08d and now trying to figure how
"export" log data.

98 QSOs done here, P43P was above 400 qsos as I heard. My MFJ loop refuses
to decrease freq under hot sun (Murphy as usual) so I waste some time
saturday evening trying to fix (was locked on 15 meter so no 10 meter QSOs).

Anyway, Logger + Kachina (25W) + PSK31 is a nice contest combo :o)

73 and CU on the next ... month/contest. Log as soon as I export data.

Subject: [psk31] DOWNLOAD FILES from GOLIST WEB SITE

I have noticed that several of you have had problems with the Logger files
downloaded from the Golist web site. I have just uploaded a new Full
Version file 609Logger.zip. It has been tested with both PKUNIP and WinZip
before uploading to the Web Site and both files have been downloaded by 4
separate individuals and both files decompressed and installed properly. All
ZIP files on the Golist web site are zipped using the authenticity routine
for your protection.

This checking procedure is done each time a new version is made available.

I can not explain why your downloads fail at your destination, but when
download files fail for me from any source on the net, the fault usually
lies in the compression and decompression of the original files from the
source to the MIME format used by the Internet to transferr the files to the
host ISP. Some foreign characters get added to the file (s) and will cause
the decompression utility to fail and generate an error message. Generally,
downloading the files again cures the problem, but I have also found in some
cases repeated downloads are necessary. AOL, in the past, has been a major
offender in this process, but I have not had any problems with email
attachment to their users in some time now.

In summary: The Full Version is new, has been tested and downloaded with
problems several times now. Hope that this will help solve the download
problems for all.

The claimed scores for the recent CCCC PSK31 Contest can be viewed at

http://www.netsync.net/users/obrienaj/scores.htm

The claimed scores HAVE NOT been checked for errors, and the arithmetic of
the contestants has not been checked either.

The page will be updated as entries arrive.

A few entries arrived as Excel or Word files, they have not been included
in the claimed score page because I have not had a chance to fire up
Excel/Word yet. That format is okay but ASCII text is preferred.

Subject: [psk31] LOGGER QUESTION

I have been trying to edit the "pks31" button with my text I cant get it saved.
I keep getting a "type mismatch" error. Also when I right click a button
it is always put under the waterfall window. (what a pain in the ass)
I take it that V6.09 does not have the read brag button already on it as it
reads in the help file. I was ably to make a new BRAG button and save it
but not able to edit any button already there.

Any help guys?

This is my first try at loggers.

Subject: RE: [psk31] DOWNLOAD FILES from GOLIST WEB SITE

Logger 6.09 is GREAT. The Macro problems are fixed. The new version of
PSK31 (V1.08) is included as part of Logger ... has a change that allows you
to look at the signal level of the first pair of unwatned sidebands compared
to the main pair of wanted sidebands. the waterfall/signal quality is very
good with some exceptions in which Peter G3PLX describes in his program.
K4CY added this feature to V6.09 of Logger. This version of Logger Update
seems to be bug free. I downloaded Logger 6.09 from
http://www.itis.net/golist/download.htm, Unzipping it (WinZip 7.0) created
NO errors and it installed just fine! I do not have any "phase lock"
problems at all.
