Attached is a bitmap file with a crude schematic showing
proper isolation technique for connection of a PC and XCVR.
This is a crude and general representation. The specifics
need to be determined.
If this confuses anyone I apologize. The .BMP file should be
readable by everyone. I hope!

The problem that you describe probably has little to do with the speakers or the
way your PC interconnects with the rig - other than the fact that there is an
interconnection.
First of all - to prove the point, all you should have to do is operate the same
PC somewhere else in the house when you are operating in your normal way on 3.2
MHz and you will probably see that the problem is gone.
The problem is more likely due to the fact that there is a problem in the
Antenna/Feedline/Ground system such that the chassis of the rig is at elevated
RF potential. You can cure this in one of two ways - 1) eliminate the real
cause, or 2) cool off the rig chassis with an artificial ground. There are at
least two different commercially available Artificial Ground devices - one by
MFJ and the other by TenTec. I have used the TenTec, and I know that it works.
Eliminating the real cause can be much more difficult to diagnose remotely -
especially without any particulars on the configuration of your
antenna/feedline/ground system.
Based on the reasonable assumption that you have a simple dipole with coax
feedline coming directly into the shack and connecting to a tuner or the
transceiver, your solution will perhaps be the addition of a choke balun at the
top end of the feedline and the addition of a good earth ground of the coax
shield at a point just before it enters the house.
Good Luck,
