OK. I was wrong (sort of) about the reliance on DOS. I hadn't had much
experience with other os's, however most of my computer orientated frineds do
curse WIN95 for the hell hole it appears to be....

However, from the arguments that have been posed for the benifit of OS/2 over
Dos and other OS's, it might be worth installing OS/2 for the BBS, and it
would then release the machine somewhat for other things. However, what
reqirements are there for OS/2???

Also, once again, please may I remind the programmers amongst you that not all
sysops have current setups, and so please make the system as modular as
possible, so if you don't want WP, you don't need to install it, if you don't
want server support, or don't want a TCP/IP port, or AX25 (depending on
preference), or want to run the system on a phone exchange (using a Hayes
protocol), you can specify to install certain modules (such as in MS apps
partial installation (e.g select modules to install, remove etc) so that they
can be removed later, or installed at a later date should you need the
facilites, or kill them off.

Oh well.... Keep on programming.
