hello all
Im' not a programmer, so i cannot take part in this project, but i like the
idea of a new bbs software

Peter is right when says that we must start with something simple and
functioning. maybe others teams of programmers can work simultaneously on
other platforms.

????? PC are 99%, and maybe more.
>> What about a BBS working with both TCP/IP and AX.25 ?
something like MSYS (do you remember? ax25, tcpip, netrom, convers bridge,
dx cluster ..... all in one!)

linux, os2 and (i hope) win95 have tcpip support. Maybe is possible to link
applications to kernel via a driver.

An os2 bbs should be great. (i love os2 hi)

and host mode require a great rs232 activity that slow down multitasking.
>Try to persuade to a typical sysop ;-) to install OS/2 or Linux >8^)_)
why not? if the software is good many sysop will try it.
The problem is to break through fbb hegemony. Try to persuade a typical
sysop to learn another software!

best regards and happy programming
