Hello Ivu,
Many thanks for the 4 part bull of PK232 commands. I am getting close to
assembling a proper set of instructions now. The only thing that I now
need to do is track down the hardware manual (described in the small
PacCom Software manual [not the one on packet] and then I can see the
hardware setup). www.mods.dk is good for problems & mods, but there is
some kind of hardware reference manual (jumper positions, FSK/Scope out
function etc). I can see from the CALIBRATE command that this names one
of the potentiometers to set the mark and space tones if necessary.

I am learning as I go along. This TNC has a FAX Eprom, but does not
have an internal mailbox facility (it is not an MBX model) and I have
found that besides packet use, the rotary DCD control also needs to be
set when attempting to Rx data such as CW and various RTTY modes. As
this is not mentioned in the command list, it makes me think that is
maybe a separate section on how to try some specific examples of
operation - rather like the examples that often come in a manual for a
pocket scientific calculator.

I must acknowlege GB7CIP and say what a great help it was to also find
the command manual on there (yapp dir) and thanks go to Paul G4APL on
that one. Its good to see that for this particular manual that packet
seems for once to have beaten the internet and got there first.

I would like to wish everyone a happy Christmas and new year. Best 73 de
Trev.
