Subject: Hayes 1200 Baud
Years ago when 1200 baud modem were the thing to have i bought a Hayes
1200 baus smartmodem, in the back it told how to convert it for packet
use. Well i still have the modem but can't find the book anywhere, i'm
sure i put it in one of those places that i would never forget.
If anyone out there has a manual for one of these guys i would like a
copy of the conversion section, as i remember it was in the back of
the manual.
If anyone can help out please email me.

Subject: Info Needed
Hello I would like to get a Tech Lic. Do I need to get a Novice Lic
First.
>>>
Absolutely not, most new hams are now beginning with the no-code tech
license and then
adding the 5 wpm or faster code for more privileges later. You can contact
the ARRL for
their beginners package at WWW.ARRL.ORG. Though you can study and get the
license
by yourself, most find it much easier to locate a ham group nearby that
teaches beginning
ham classes. The ARRL can help you find one of these near you. Good luck
and welcome!
