I recently bought an Advanced Electronics Application ATU-1000.
It was sitting in the stockroom of my favorite Ham shop in Vancouver BC.
Somehow or another the unit had been all but forgotten about for a number
of years.
The unit is unused and was complete other the software and unfortunately
the instruction manual.
If anyone offer any information about the operating of this unit or can
sell me a copy of the instruction manual and software I'd appreciate
hearing for you.
Thank you

Charles, you've convinced me. I had a TNC and a nice little computer
set up next to my HF rig, and worked a bit of HF RTTY and PACTOR.
Plans were to add a little 2m rig next week, and get on packet here in
the Twin Cities.
After reading your note to the guy who wanted to set up the JNOS node
(whatever the bleep that is) you have me convinced. I found a buyer
for the TNC, and am moving the computer upstairs. If you're an example
of what packet is all about, and of the kind of hams who frequent it,
I certainly don't need it.
I will stick to CW where the folks I meet are kind and friendly.

Doug, K0FO
