Did you notice where "CQ" magazine dumped Buck Rogers from their digital
column, so they could pick up one of Greg Jones' (formerly of TAPR) pet
"LandLine Lids"?

The guy wouldn't know Ham Radio if you slapped him up the side of the head
with it, but it's worth doing anyway just for fun.

After seeing how Buck was treated by the folks at CQ, I wouldn't wipe my
hiney with that rag. Another Ham Radio mag does down the tubes... Too bad.

Try downloading the TH-D7A instruction manual from Kenwood's site at
http://216.133.235.165/Amateur/Instruction%20Manuals/

Both the -D7A and the new version, -D7A (G) manuals are there. I did
not see the -D7E [European version] manual there. The manuals are in
Adobe .pdf so you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC to
read the manual. You can download that free app at
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/alternate.html

Good luck & 73 - hope some of this is helpful

Hi there

first of all thanks very much for your help with my problem.

Your information-site is very interesting, but I don't know what this sentence
means:

> If you don't have a packet program, you may need to go back and install it.
On
> Windows 98 this is: Start / Settings / Control Panel / Add Remove Programs /
> Windows Setup / Communications Hyperterminal.

1. I cannot find Communications Hyperterminal in Windows Setup. Do I have to
set this also when I have a packet radio
programme?

2. Can you give me a internet-adress where I can download a simple (free)
terminal-programme for my TH-D7E? Which one do
you use?

I have tried a few programmes before, but it never worked!

I have changed the settings in Start / Settings / Control Panel / System . Is
this wrong?????

I hope that you can help me with my problem,

vy73, Martin OE5REO

Hi Martin

If your interested in APRS on Packet Radio I can recommend downloading
UI-View which will interface directly to your TH-D7E take a look at
http://welcome.to/uiview for more details

If your after normal packet operation a combination of AGW
http://www.raag.org/sv2agw/ and Winpack http://www.peaksys.demon.co.uk may
suit
