Subject: Best paket software?
KaGold is an excellent OPERATORS program, but has NO "automated" fucntions
to collect FBB bulletins or send/receive mail on it's own (though it does
make accessing the TNC's mailbox easy).
KaGold (for Kantronics tnc's) makes it a snap to change modes, opeate
different modes on different ports (if you're using a KAM), and does other
nifty things (like give you the ability to write packet mail in a buffer,
then send it all at once after connect.
You can also easily send and receive ascii and binary data, and even provide
a 'conference' function for folks who connect.
If you are primarily interested in automated packet activities (like
collecting bulletins off of BBS's...like I used to) then go get the DOS
version of TSTHOST. It works quite well in Windows, and (to me an any rate)
was a lot more intuitive and easy to use than the Windows verison.

I'm looking for Mac compatible packet BBS software. I haven't been able to
find anything. I'd prefer to use my old LC 475 for this, but I'm considering
buying a new Mac, so I could run it in System 9.0.4 on a G3 or G4 if I have
to.
