Can anyone recommend a good primer on packet for someone totally new to the
mode. I've got an HTX-202 which I can dedicate to 2m packet and I'd like to
get my feet wet but most web pages assume the reader has a working knowledge
of packet - which I certainly do not. Thanks.

Subject: New Soundcard Packet & APRS good map

Hi There,
I have a similar problem with running AGW with the soundcard, it only
sends a few transmissions until the whole computer locks and needs to be
restarted.
I know you may not want to her=ar this but here it goes.....
So i downloaded the flexnet software and installed it, easy enough so far
...... SM.doc in the downloads tells you how to create the batch file for
setting it up with soundcard.

I did as said after reading the help files but one problem, it is best to
specify the IRQ of your soundcard when loading the smsbc soundcard driver,
otherwise it will NOT (in my case) find the soundcard.
I restarted and run the batch file, all seems well, then i ran the
smdiag.exe and setup the audio levels, smdiag is a good test to se if the
system is working :)).

I know it only says for win95, but it works fine with win95 drivers here and
i am using win98SE.
Flexnet seems to run fine with Winpack, been running it now for 2 weeks and
