Subject: Kantronics KPC3 help
I am new to packet radio. I just bought a used Kantronics KPC3 today at a
hamfest. I have several questions. The box says it is version 5.1. My rig
is a Icom 746.
1. Can this be used for APRS?
2. Can the firmware be upgraded on it? If so, how?
3. What software do I need to get going with packet.
4. Is this TNC any good? I got it for a deal and don't know anything about
it.
Please reply to kg4fdr@mindspring.com
Thanks,
Mark

Why not do something radical like PAY for it? It's not that expensive
and it is well worth it. I am a registered user.
