Subject: DxTelnet via proxy server?

Is there anyone out there using DxTelnet from a client machine through
proxy server software? If so please tell me how it is done. I am
using WinGate home and cannot figure out how to get DXTELNET to telnet
through the server. Yet I can get standard windows telnet to make a
connection to the Dx packet cluster.

Subject: Packet and the ICOM 281H

Have an ICOM 281H and need to use the microphone input jack
for TNC operation. I can get it to key and send packets
(monitored the signal) I just can't connect to known packet
stations that are very close to my location. The TNC also
indicates that it is receiving a signal. Anyone have any
ideas.

Subject: PalmIII/Packet Radio

I am looking for the asme thing. The only thing I've heard
of is the TAPRS stuff for the Palm. Wish I knew how to
program, I'd write the code in a second. I use a HP100LX
for my portable packet right now, but would really like to
use the PILOT!!

I have a few negative comments to make on this subject, first of all, I
would think that all this is TRUE.

Next of all, if packet radio is used for all this, at 1200 baud, reckon
how MANY at the SAME TIME can use, if happened to be located in the same
general area..

I have been a packet radio operator since I got my Ham Radio ticket, and I
have seen the freq go to POT for the very same things that this fellow, (no
callsign that I saw) is talking about. so just because you CAN DO certain
things, does not mean you SHOULD DO these things on a 24 hour basis..

This is just one person's opinion n5ysq 73's.
