Subject: FILTER SOURCES Re: Annoying ham operator

Hi,
There are several 'Hi Pass' filters you can put between yout TV antenna and
the TV that will block the lower ham frequencies. Look to
Radio Shack or Amateur Electronics Supply (800)558-0411

Speaker Wires act as antennas. putting a .01 uFd ceramic cap Across the
terminals will reduce the effect of RF on speakers

There are 'Low Pass' filters that can be put on the radio transmitter,
made by Drake, Hi-Gain, MFJ, and others. Ask at (800) above

A Good Ground at Both Places is probably a real big help. The 'Blocked'
signals need a place to go to. Check the connections in your house where
the Power Ground is established. Electrical Code says there should be a
ground
for each section (100 sr ft ?). If its dirty, clean it. Questions? Ask an
Electrician.

There are LOTS of other technical items. Cooperation & realizing that The
Radio Station may be meeting ALL of it's requirements Already, and the
'plastic boxes' that provide no shielding is what a lot of radios/TV's
are built inside of. so ...
