It is illegal to use FlexNet on non-ham networks. Take a look at the FlexNet
web-site.
Try to avoid advising people to do things that are illegal.

It isn't illegal in Europe, and European CB'ers use "UHF" CB freqs for
digital stuff, not 11 meters.
CB Packet is a big thing in Europe; Very popular.
I understand that it is illegal in the US. - It seems a shame.
Still: This is a newsgroup for Amateur Radio operators. There are other
newsgroups for CB stuff, not to mention the hundreds of European CB Packet
web sites.
That's where CB'ers should go to look for info on digital CB systems.

Good to know, thanks. I didn't mean to sound
arrogant in assuming it was 27Mhz am, just figured
that european cb would be called something else.

I think you will find that many of these hams who came from cb land
probably did a bunch of illegal things there before they became hams,
and now are over-compensating because they feel guilty, and by
overreacting they are somehow redeeming themselves in their own eyes.

sometimes it is hard to tell where a post came from with the cryptic
nature of the urls.
