Subject: Is the Kenwood TH-D7 user programmable?
Recently I purchased the Kenwood TH-D7A and thought it might be interesting
to program the unit to display certain characters on the LCD when a
anticipated packet message has been received by the mobile handheld unit.
In order to accomplish this, I need to be able to add rules (user
programmable logic) to some available handler that is linked into the main
communications engine. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything about
programming the TH-D7 handheld at this level.
If anyone has any information to share on this topic, then please post to
this newgroup. The TH-D7 is a popular unit - I'm sure many of us would like
to hear more about this topic.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi, Is there anyone out there with the KPC3 (non plus version) firmware v6.0
or higher who also has an eprom reader? If so I would very much apreciate an
email as I need a copy of this to get up and running on aprs.
I have the KPC-9612 Plus v8.2 Firmware.
Thanks

I don't know of any in your price limit. I assume that what you looked at was
the "wireless LAN" stuff.
In some places in Europe, CB radio allows data. For North America and
Australia, you're SOL.
