Ted,
I've got a Garmin 45 connected to my KPC-3 in the car with a transmitter for
APRS beaconing.
The Garmin can be connected directly to the KPC-3. You really only need
ground and the data out line from the Garmin connected to the TX data input
of the KPC-3.
I wired the KPC-3 DB connector up with +12 VDC on one of the lines (I think
they suggest one) and used it to power the Garmin.
Trace it out and give it a try. If you can't figure it out I'll see if I
can find my notes.

Subject: TAPR TNC2 schematics
Hello,
Does anyone here have schematics for a TNC2 in electronic form (or perhaps a
link). I've been searching many weeks now, but I only find EPROM dumps for
the TNC's, never complete schematics. 100$ seems a bit expensive for a
system based upon a Z80, so I wanted to make one myself.
Many thanks,
Eric Paillet
