Well, Denver, you've shown your maturity to me at least. That took a "man"
to say .. you're no longer a rookie in Ham radio. Welcome to the group.
Now, Packet .... One of the latest posters mentioned APRS.
#1, you don't absolutely have to have a GPS to run it as was mentioned
before. If you have an idea where you are in this world (www.mapblast.com)
you can see your co-ordinates and input them into the "net" using the
WINAPRS software available as shareware (free to try, full version, pay if
you like/keep it to register and promote the production of more and better
software).
#2 Why is APRS any good? ARES / Emergency situations as well as the personal
thing of knowing exactly where the thieves have taken your car in the middle
of the night.
#3 Where do you go for more info .... try
http://web.usna.navy.mil/~bruninga/aprs.html
That'll get you started at least ...
Best 73's Denver and I like your attitude dude !!!!

The Internet is full of people who throw out messages full of
insults but with no useful content. They're not worthy of a
response, OM. Keep participating in courteous exchanges, tho.
