If you are a ham radio operator, you can use FlexNet, which will work with
Win95/98 systems in the way you describe. If I understand correctly, the
software causes the system to think of the Packet Radio TNC as an ethernet
card. Systems running the Win95 version of FlexNet allow use of any Win95/98
software intended for use with tcpip (Internet) over ax25 ham radio links.

There's more info about FlexNet at my web site, listed below.

Subject: PK-232 to mic plug wiring?

I have a PK-232MBX, but no manual. Would someone have the wiring
instructions for the mic plug to the PK232 connector?

The pre-wired cable that came with the PK232 has 5 wires: red, brown,
black, white and green which terminate in a 5-pin inline female plug at
the tnc end. I need to know which ones go to PTT, mic, mic ground, and
chassis ground on the mic plug.

If anyone has the manual, or knows where this information might be
obtained online, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Subject: PK-88

I am also new to packet. I purchased a used AEA PK-88, hooked it up to
a Kenwood TR-2600A handheld and was able to receive, but not transmit.
So I tried a Yeasu FT530 with the same result. I don't know what the
problem is. I presume the cables I purchased are wired correctly.
Maybe that's an incorrect assumption. The only other option I can think
of is a jumper that needs to be moved. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Subject: Where to sell packet radio equipment

I am looking for good websites or national classified trade
papers/magazines to advertise used packet network equipment
that I would like to sell (radio, TNC, power supply, etc.).

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

PS. I will post a summary list based on my responses some point in
the future.
