Hi David,

One reason that you may not be able to connect is that ve1smu.ampr.org is
not connected to or have a path to the Internet.  Another reason is that
ve1smu.ampr.org does not allow connections from non-ampr.org addresses. 
This would be to prevent anyone that is not a licensed ham to be able
make connections out over the air.  It is the proper thing to do to
protect his license.  Try making the connection from an ampr.org address
and see if you have better luck.

 Using the MFJ-1270B, there seems to be a limit to how long a command can
be.  Is there a way around this limit?

Subject: Monitor packet radio

Any ideas on just monitoring packet radio
using the sound card i tried the sgva2w and the flex
sound card modems but both dont work under win98( for me )
the flex packet modem worked using win95 ok anyone have a work around ? or
any ideas.
