Subject: Can Anyone Outside AMPR Access VE1SMU?

I have been trying for 3 days to access:
http://gw.ve1smu.ampr.org/

My ISP says this url cannot be accessed from the multiple sites
in the US that they tried.

I would be interested to learn if anyone not directly connected
to the AMPR system can access this url.

I would also be interested to know if anyone knows what the
problem may be? And perhaps communicate the solution to
VE1SMU. I miss having access to his site and the wonderful
resources there.

Thanks! & 73,

AMPR.ORG addresses are, in general, unreliable. I administer a number of
Internet lists, and zapping dead or useless AMPR.ORG addresses is a daily
chore. If the lists I run weren't Ham-related in the first place, I would
not bother allowing them access. Maybe it's just pure stubborn-ness, but I
let them in, only to end up having to zap them, normally within the first
week or so.

On the other hand, I've had some of them stay valid for several months. My
theory is that practice makes perfect. If I keep letting them in, sooner or
later things will improve.

Try to be patient.
