who have given time and talent to benefit their fellow amateurs.
There is also a time for general business where those attending

TARC members, visitors, friends and support crews are operating from
Toumalla Beach Camping Grounds for this weekends John Moyle Field Day.
A change of venue was forced upon them due to road building operations
at Keelbottom Creek! So there is nothing like a sudden change of
plans to test the preparedness of Amateur Radio field operations.
You are invited to either travel out along the Bruce Highway and turn
off a bit south of Rollingstone to go and visit the Field Day Station,
or fire up the HF from home and make a few contacts with VK4WIT out in
the field.
VK4WIT has been operating since 11am on Saturday and will finish
on-air operations today at 11am, so you don't have much time to visit
the Field Day Station or make contact with it.
Try 7080kHz if you can't spot them on any other bands !

Friday 21st of March... at 7.30 pm... in the Staff Room of the
Wavell Heights State School, in Minore Street, Chermside... ..
the QDG will present an outstanding Technical Night conducted by
Doug VK4ADC... an experienced Amateur of long standing...
who will setup and demonstrate... a very interesting range...
of the very latest Icom Communications Equipment.
Although Doug is also well-known for his involvement with computers...
his technical back-ground and experience in Radio Communications...
puts him in an excellent position... to conduct this "hands on"
demonstration... of "cutting-edge" Communications Technology.
You'll enjoy... this golden opportunity of a "hands on"
demonstration... and rate it an out-standing Technical evening....
and as there will be plenty of time for questions and answers...
you won't be disappointed! So... make a note of the date...
Friday 21st March, at the Wavell Heights State School, in Minore Street,
Chermside at 7.30 pm. Visitors are very welcome.
By-the-way... AS the QDG is highly organised... they will be holding a
very SHORT Annual General Meeting before hand... so as Quoram numbers
are important... come out of the wood-work and make Friday 21st ...
a very memorable Technical evening... and as Brian VK4DFD said last week...
don't worry... you won't be pressured into anything... as those retiring
from office... will be available for re-election... AND... they will be
starting... on time!
If you don't like driving at night... or have trouble with transport...
why not contact a few old Mates... to organise and enjoy... an evening out
with a fine bunch of Amateurs.
During proceedings... you'll get a good supper too!
Incidently... if you want the latest details about anything Digital...
why not check out the QDG's Web Site... it's a beauty!
