I hope that all Field Reps/Societies/Clubs/Affiliations have sent an AGM
Report to our Secretary, sorry - forgot to remind you in last months NL.
The annual dinner will take place at Haughton Hall, Shifnal Nr Cosford

on Friday 12th Oct 2007.
The AGM is at DCAE Cosford RAF Museum WV7 3EX) on Saturday 13th Oct 2007.

News Desk G4PSH will be QAP on 144.725 and listening for you /M and /P.
VP8CXV/VP8RAF FALKLAND ISLANDS ACTIVATED.
As from 4 Sept 2007 GM0TQJ Chris will be active with VP8CXV and VP8RAF
for 4 months on most HF Bands. QSL direct, QSL bureau or to his home QTH.
If anyone should have a QSO with Chris please inform the National Net
or News Desk so as we will have an idea of freq and times.
NETHERLANDS AIR FORCE RAS PI4NAF RAFARS 0005
To celebrate the 20th birthday of the Society, PI4NAF will be QRV with the
callsign PA20NARAS on HF and VHF between the 3rd - 19th November.

13 Oct (AGM), 13 Nov.
A Field Rep will be invited to each meeting and travel expenses paid.
All members may ask to attend meetings but expenses are not paid.

The spring edition of QRV is now in production and there is room for
your contribution.

REPORT OF SSB FIELD DAY 1/2 Sept 2007 BY ROGER G3ZDW.
Claimed points 69,650.
Compared to last year where we had 336 QSOs with 61 Multipliers producing
a total score of 93,025 points, the drop this year is due to the reduced
number of multipliers.
A big thank you to all who went to Metheringham and showing that RAFARS
can still put a Field Day Team together. Special thanks to Bob G0DAM for
taking over as i/c in my absence, and to Bob G3VCA for the use of his van
to transport the equipment from Ruskington to Metheringham..

CHRISTMAS CONTEST 2006 CORRECTION.
Apologies from Roger our Contest Manager - The log from Brian G3LUW was
missed off the Christmas Contest 2006 results. After checking the log,
Brian takes FIRST place in the All Band Single Operator Section having the
effect of pushing everyone down one position.
RESULTS OF THE HF NFD CONTEST 2007.
G8FC/P came 27th out of 31 entries in the Open section.
Flying the flag for RAFARS were Art G3KWY, Vince G4DQP, Tom G4OSB, Roger
G3ZDW (contest manager), and the support team Bob G0DAM and Peter G0NVY.
GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
GB2RAF will not be operational on Sat 13 Oct because G4PSH will be at the
RAFARS AGM.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500 hrs local
on RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
