RAFARS BRIEF AGM REPORT.
AGM Dinner, Members and Guests attendance 22.
AGM, attendance 23 including 8 Council Members, out of 1300 Members.
Subscriptions to remain the same.
Honorary Membership was awarded to our General Secretary Mike G7JPN.
G2LR Trophy was awarded to Bernard G0SWO.
Field Rep award was to Peter G0NVY.
Construction Cup was awarded to Richard 2E0RSH. 
G3FVC Shield was awarded to Peter G2AFV. 
A list of Field Representatives will be included in the next QRZ.
A more detailed AGM report will appear in the next QRV.

RAFARS CHAIRMAN.
Dave G8GKQ will be posted overseas in early January. A big thank you from
both Council and Members for all the support he has given us during the
six years he has been our Chairman. We wish Dave and Sue best wishes for
the future.
A new chairman has been nominated and will be introduced to members.in due
course 

DATES OF 2006 RAFARS COUNCIL MEETING AT DCAE COSFORD.
14th Nov. A Field Rep will be invited and expenses paid.
All members may ask to attend, but expenses are not paid.

G8FC/P
The use of G8FC/P by Stan G0BYA and Don M0FHM at locatons away from HQ has
been put on hold until the the new regulations from Ofcom have been issued
and their effects discussed by RAFARS Council.

KITES IN TOBAGO 
From the 27 Nov to 7 Jan G3NXJ Brian 1342 and G4ROJ Roger will be
operational in Tobago using kites to erect antennas.
The call-signs will be 9Y4/G3NXJ and 9Y4/G4ROJ.
27th Nov 14.255 1200hrs.(CQ for 10mins)
2nd  Dec 0030hrs (night shift) various frequencies till dawn (QAP).
7th  Dec 14.255 1300hrs (CQ for 10mins).
All above times are GMT.
They will also try 14.290 at times and also a link through to GB3KD.
This is not a DX expedition just a holiday with radio thrown in and I am
sure RAFARS members wish them all the best of luck.

CONTEST RESULTS.
Rolling 3 CW Contest 
1st G2AFV 33pts, 2nd G4DDX 24pts, 3rd G3ICH 21pts, 3rd LX/ON6WR 21pts
5th G4ZME 15pts. Well done to all of you for taking part.
NFD RSGB 2006. 
RAFARS G8FC/P came 24th out of an entry of 27 in the Restricted Section.

GB2RAF was not operational on 14 Oct as Terry G4PSH was at the RAFARS AGM.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500 hrs local
on SSB or CW on 80m or 40m if conditions are poor. For full information
