RAFARS NEEDS YOU ON THE 5 AND 6 JUNE FOR THE RSGB NFD CW CONTEST.
Roger G3ZDW, our Contest Manager, would like to hear from all Members who
have the key bug and are willing and able to join the RAFARS National
Field
Day CW team. The contest venue will be the Visitors Centre on the site of
the former RAF Metheringham which is located 8 miles NE of RAFC Cranwell -
(O/S TF10145961).
At present Roger has about 5 volunteers but needs lots more to reduce the
pressure on the few and make it easier all round. Even if you are not QRQ
on the key there is much you can do to support the Operators. I can assure
you it does not take long to get used to logging by lap-top computer.
So please pop along, its not a big commitment, its only once a year and
its
all good fun.

RAFARS ANNUAL DINNER AND AGM 2004
The Annual Dinner will be held at the Aviator Hotel, Sywell, Northants
on Friday, 8th October and the AGM on Saturday 9th October 2004.
Due to other events taking place at the Aviator that weekend, members who

RAFARS COUNCIL MEMBERS ATTENDANCE AT RALLIES
Whenever possible a member of Council will attend major Rallies to support
local members who have set up a RAFARS stand. Recently Roy G0TBY, Bob
G0DAM
and Roy G0TAK were at Blackpool. On April 18th RAFARS Chairman, David

expects to attend the Rally at Kempton Park.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
GB2RAF will be QRV 10 April on SSB or CW around RAFARS Freq.
The Station is operational on the second Saturday of every month from 1000
-1500 local time.
Communications were good in March. We worked 104 stations.
All RAFARS/RNARS/R.Sigs who would like to operate or visit the station are
