Country and, by attending, bring extra support to your events.

RAFARS ANNUAL DINNER AND AGM 2004
The Annual Dinner will be held at the Aviator Hotel, Sywell, Northants
on Friday, 8th October and the AGM on Saturday 9th October 2004.

RAFARS COUNCIL MEMBERS ATTENDANCE AT RALLIES
Whenever possible a member of Council will attend major Rallies to support
local members who have set up a RAFARS stand. In recent weeks, Dave G8GKQ,
RAFARS Chairman, went to Stevenage and Harwell; Roy G0TBY and Bob G0DAM
were at the Northern Cross Rally, and Mike G7JPN was at Cambridge.
RAFARS ROADSHOW TEAM.
G0DAM reports that the RAFARS Road Show may be operational at the Elvaston
Castle Rally on the 13th June.
A Road Show Team leader is still required. Please contact Bob G0DAM QTHr
or Mike the Administrator at RAFARS HQ.
MARCH 7TH 2004 SHROPSHIRE AND MIDLAND RAFARS GET-TOGETHER.
The Shropshire, Staffordshire and West Midland RAFARS Areas hold their
annual Get-together at RAF Cosford on Sunday March 7th 2004.
Coffee in the Museum Restaurant from 1000hrs followed by a talk at 1100hrs
to be held in the Cosford ARC/RAFARS HQ clubroom. Charles G3BQQ will speak
on Operation Glimmer, D Day Radio, and Operation Manna.
To enter the clubroom, members must show their RAFARS Membership Card.
The RAF Museum will be open till late afternoon. Entry is free of charge
with ample car parking.

Norfolk/Suffolk RAFARS 1st Thurs of the Month 1930hrs 145.375.
GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
GB2RAF will be QRV 13 March on SSB or CW around RAFARS Freq.
The Station is operational on the second Saturday of every month from 1000
-1500 local time.
Communications were much better in February. We worked 50 stations but,
unfortunately, a big Contest started at 1200hrs so it became difficult to
find a gap.
All RAFARS/RNARS/R.Sigs who would like to operate or visit the station are
welcome. Phone Terry, G4PSH, on 01692 582064 if you wish to operate.
(Operators please bring your Amateur Licence and I/D).
AIR TRAINING CORPS RADIO.
Cumbria North Lancashire Wing ATC Training Day 9 May 2004
Cadets from all over the Wing will participate in many different events
including Amateur Radio. Operation will be from the Club Station at 1127
(Kendal) Sqn using the Club call MX0KAC to contact other ATC Sqns and

London and South East region are planning a weekend of HF operating over
the weekend of 19/20 June 2004 with the possibility of a practice run on
the 24/25 April 2004. If any ATC Staff are available to help with traffic,

On 30 May to 2 May a Special Event Station N2M will be active with a few
Local Amateur Radio Clubs together with AMSAT and ARRL at the Milleville
Air Show. This does not directly involve RAFARS Members but if you served
at Milleville I am sure your input would be appreciated.
SHUTTLES AND INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION NEWS UPDATE.
All the latest information was in NL69 there are no more changes or news
to the NASA Space programme, but there are big changes on the way..
