We do train , and train often on the software we use in our command post. we
also train with the agencies we support, for example emergency
social services in setting up reception centres and shelters, as well as the
whole comms system setup with the emergency agencies. You are absolutely
right, a disaster is not the time to be exchanging business cards.

Going back to Walt's show and tell coming up , while he isnot in a postion
to run HF, at some point we should as a group, try to set up and run from
command posts or whatever. We should start promoting the idea of MT63 and
MFSK contacts during this year's ARRL/RAC Field day.

On a wish list, it would be nice to be able to use templates on these modes
to support the red cross registration process so that the messages handled
would look like their forms when they come out the other end. better yet,
could be exported into their system. As far as I know , both the American
and Canadian Red Cross use the same basic form, and for volume message
handling this would be an invaluable tool. Even the ARRL message template
for these modes woould be great!!
