As I said, Australia does it a little differently. We really can't 
compare countries as they're so different, all we can compare are the 
differences.

Then you mentioned MEL to LAX but it can't compare to LAX to DFW. Hey' if 
you put a K in front you have the radio callsign so would it make that 
VMEL? Hmmm, I'll have to look that one up. Anyway, even when you come 
down to domestic flights we travel differently and these days differently 
still, with all the annoying "security" these days we're finding 
alternate carriers like Amtrak. Funny how post 9-11 it's a red alert when 
post Lockerbee all the bombs the Port Authority removed from aircraft 
went entirely unnoticed by the public. Maybe it was because I was 
listening to the PAPD on my scanner and they weren't? (;->)
