One thing I did not cover in that bulletin was aviation.
As you have seen on the TV Branson has run an experiment with biofuels.
It has the same problem as ethanol, who starves so you can fly ?
If you read the reports of airlines, their major cost is fuel.
They future buy their fuel where they can but with oil prices going up at a
rate that has not been seen previously. It is making it difficult to hedge
their purchases.
I believe that air travel will become rationed either by price or by
government regulation by permit.
Frankly, if you look at the figues I can see no alternative.
We need to husband the energy we have available to extend the time until we
transition to a new energy regime, whatever that turns out to be.
