I must agree with you and especially so for towing. They sold us FWD on the
idea that the driven wheels are always trying to pull you in the direction
they are pointing which is also the direction you are trying to go - problem
is that as you accelerate, the weight is taken off them and they are pulling
rather than trying to dig them selves into the road to push you along. From a
stand still, add too much power and they slip even with a low powered FWD. Add
a trailer and the problem becomes so very much worse. I have only ever tried
towing with one FWD and I could not wait to change it for a RWD.
