Hello Warren KB2VXA...and other car fiends!

Warren, I forgot to mention the most interesting findings of
a Police Highway Patrol in the US Southwest ... Could be
New Mexico...but not sure.

Apparently, a highway patrol unit came upon some nasty skid
marks, and lots of parts...and then ending in the face of
a cliff, with the rest of the car, and burned to a crisp.

They assume, that the car became airborne when the driver
wanted to checkout the JATO pack on his car which I guess
he had fitted. < JATO= Jet Assisted Take Off >.

What a sight that must of been! I am still trying to
track down the event, and get some pictures...Just wondering
if anyone else saw this item in the news?

Got your posting back on the VW Jet-Bug ... and will reply
ASP when I read it, and have a great laugh.

ttfn

Peter
