Hello Tony VK3API and also should have added Ray VK2TV and Warren
KB2VXA...and all reading along on this FUEL@WW thread, which is
interesting...

GAS <petrol> jumped and is now sitting at .99cents a litre.
The NEWS media of course trying to do something??? IS calling
for GAS at the pumps to go to $1.50/litre ... which has the
comuters just moaning.

My posting however isn't about that... I read an exchange between
Warren and Tony on alternate fuels, and whats left over, and I
nver heard anyone mention the smell leftover, and when one comes
out in the morning to jump into the wheels to go somewhere.

I was down , as some know to Brazil <BRASIL> where they use
sugar as a fuel. Last time I was there ..last year, the gas
or sugar ethanol was R$ 1.29 a jump from a previous year of
R$ .10 ... but I maybe wrong. They have most, or all cars
now converted to run on this stuff...but as Warren mentioned
and I think Tony as well .... the TAR, but no mention of
the smell which with Sugar is burned sugar.

As for the TAR...I never had time to really look at the engine
or lift off the air cleaner for a look, as the car there seems
always in motion and gone somewhere ...

Have noted with the smell after the car leaves, there is a goo
left on the floor of the car port ... And my wife, never allowed
me to touch it. She is always like this, even at home here
in the driveway where I work on my vehicles.

Anyhow.. thats my comments on sugar... I wonder about the wheat
fuel Tony... and this is the first time I ever heard of it.

ttfn
