G'day Frank.
130 kph? I don't know of any state having a speed limit that high unless
it is the Northern Territory which was the region where there was no speed
limit a couple of years ago. Our limit is 110 kph but our Government is
considering reducing that to 100 kph.The only drivers that will affect are
those who observe the present speed limits and that is NOT MANY!! The
other states have speed limits of 100 or 110 kph.
The Corolla would be probably one of the best sellers here in the small
car range I would think. Toyota is the biuggest seller here but only
becuse of the huge range of vehicles they sell, from several kinds of 4WDs
down to a medium and small cars. Holden is the best seller in the big car
range, with Ford coming next and Mitsubishi trailing the field. Parts for
Holden and Ford are very cheap compared to the imported cars from Europe.
Initial cost of the vehicel is much higher too. A 4 litre Falcon or 3.9
litre Holden cost about $35000. A smaller VW costs $38 000, and the larger
European cars can cost over $100 000 if you are looking for a prestige
vehicle.
