No I am not under a sense of false security, Barry. The point is that I
have never heard of any accidental explosion in a car using LPG so far but
there have been several well publicised accidents in petrol and diesel
driven vehicles lately where the occupants were incinerated. A tail end
collision can rupture a petrol tank and cause the vehicle to burn (which
happened here two or three times in the last few monthsover here) . Such a
collision would not normally damage an LPG tank. They are too robust for
that.
Regarding the red diamond all cars using LPG here have the triangle on the
plate. Police attending an accident will open the boot and turn off the
gas tap.
Cheers,
Bob VK6BE.

LPG. You can tell them by the little red diamond on their rear number
plate.
> It is on the rear one so those attending the accident can check before they open the boot.
