Hi Peter and all,
It would be nice if a motor head would chime in, the Spyder was actually
a racing engine... in a Fiat? One of the famous American custom builders
made it but the name just won't come. If push comes to shove there's
always Google but I know the history of it'll be buried deep.
Shelby was better known outside the racing circuit of course but there's
another more interesting bit of history. Lee Iacocaine was the most
innovative engineers Ford ever had, the story resembles that of Edison
and Tesla if you get the drift. Then there was DeLorean, those cars are
still manufactured believe it or not. Some are reconstructed out of the
bone yard and a bit less expensive than those made from stock parts,
brand new 30 year old cars. He left warehouses full so they were
consolidated and a new company was born, every one hand made.
You reminded me how the greatest CBers I ever knew all went SK and left
my friends and I (the survivors) with the best memories of the best of
times. Only one was a flake and I'm sure the name will ring a bell,
Lebonnie Blakely of Morristown and later High Bridge NJ. OK, I'll take
the cotton out, the world knows her as Bonnie Lee Bakely. Still no bell,
so here's the clapper, Robert Blake. Keep your eye on the sparrow, I
dated her once.

I would just LOVE to hear Maria try to pronounce Schuykill with her
Portugese accent! What I'm hearing now are the fireworks on the beach
heralding the close of Benny Season and the locals are coming home to
clean thier shotguns and dress the meat. No, they don't taste like
chicken, they taste like New York.
