An interesting  article from  ASPO USA  on Australian  oil production and the
forcast levels.
Peak Oil occured  in Australia in  2000 and the  production curve while bumpy
has continued downwards so that the bill for oil imports is ever rising.
The figure in  the article linked  below for energy debit ($12 Billion) is for
all energy  including coal. 
 The figure  for crude  oil alone  is around  $28 Billion from Stats Bureau.
