Hi Peter and all,

Good grief Charlie Brown, that last bull beat David's pants off at just
over 9K! Most US auto manufacturers produced cars with back seats
suitable for submarine race watching in the 50s and 60s and some in the
40s and early 50s had some really nice upholstery for you know whatting.
My favorite was a Lincoln Continental perched atop Mt. Penn in Reading
PA, I liked her white pleat skirt and bobby sox too, yum. Watch some old
teenage movies but don't bother with Bobby Darin, just TOO squeaky clean.
Speaking of which Pat Boone never got in the car, cluck cluck!

With all the re-badged cars around it's hard to tell who makes what or
what's in them. It would be interesting who makes the Paulo, never heard
of it so I'm curious. If it won't make the hills somebody goofed, you
don't need a lot of torque, it's all in the RPM and gearing. My Toy made
it around Reading and they have one hill there that's a real challenge
with a traffic light near the top. Not bad with a 'matic but with a stick
it's a bit tricky slipping the hand brake off and clutching just right.
It made the long grade into Scranton in 4th gear floored, the temp hit
the red line but cooled quickly on the way down, several times. That's
down from 5th but couldn't go any lower or I'd back up traffic, tried it
and once was enough, still it red lined so forget that idea.

That's enough for now, the rest is only The Pete And Repete Show anyway.
