(;->) Hmmm, we left plenty of war material in Britain that sure helped
the rebuild effort, the steam locomotives for one saw use into the 60s
and many were converted to steamrollers for road paving. They saw even
greater life but eventually Diesel caught up as it always does. We didn't
take it home from Australia either, only the Aussies used the steel for
drilling rigs, the first beer well was drilled in Beerwah by Stevo's dad
if I remember correctly. Could be why he was such a weird little bugger
teasing crocodiles.
The Jeeps we left in the Phillipenes were converted to all sorts of
transportation, even busses. Imagine a bus that still looks like a Jeep
from the front! That gives a whole new meaning to "built Ford tough" but
only where people are innovative, we all know in North America they're
found on road dead. With future fuels I'm sure they'll find one right for
Ford and the new phrase will be "fart over rancid decomposition".
