Hi Ian and all,
Just to get Bob out of the way first, he's been having curious problems with
his desktop which among other things fouled up Skype and he's had
compatibility issues trying to install it on the laptop. I too am glad he
finally got it to work and yes, he's in good health. BTW he hit the 90 mark
which makes it all the more remarkable. Oh, no wonder he's having unresolved
computer issues, remember the frustrating exchange of packet bulls when he
was having trouble with Winpack? Yeah, same old Bob so rather than another
entanglement I suggested a professional sort it out.
I'm surprised the Fag remark puzzles you, when Ford bought Jaguar it picked
up a new nickname. You said the queen has an older model so that's where the
sarcasm came from, seriously I doubt it's a Fag being it's just not BRITISH.
That reminds me of when the GM assembly plant in Linden, NJ was still
operational. Toward the end there were fewer employees' cars in the lot of
course but the funny part was they were mostly Ford and Toyota with a few
Hondas for good measure.
Oh I would expect Liz to drive herself around the Royal Estate, plenty of
room to move and with security around the perimiter no problems with being
disturbed. Of course she doesn't need a license, she's the QUEEN. (;->) Most
likely she wouldn't need one on the estate in any case, it's private
property. License is privelige to drive on public roads but you don't need
one when you OWN the road. Same here actually, farm hands don't need them on
the farm and for what it's worth the estate would get lost on one of our
larger ones.
I'm not the least bit surprised if Tata bought Jaguar, they're a family owned
worldwide manufacturer and not just cars. The new kid on the block is growing
fast and diversifying giving the other auto manufacturers also diversified
some very stiff competition. If you do a lookup on them you'd be surprised at
the wide range of insustrial and consumer products.
Naturally I'm unfamiliar with some of the manufacturers and models you
mentioned, strictly British and few if any ever exported. Sports cars never
impressed me either, I'm just a bit consevative in my tastes of pretty much
everything. I have no showoff tendencies so I go with my needs being
utilitarian.
Whatever the joke is it doesn't come to mind, probably one that tried to come
across but sank on the way. Speaking of which, I know Mazda but how do you
fit a Wanker engine in a light bulb? Veeerrry carefully.
