Well theres a few more, I can not compare with, and more research some
evening. For some reason when you mention bubble car, I think of
something then it goes... the front door entry contraption."
No. I think that the bubble cars would be far too small for North America.
The strange thing is, they have collectors and owner's clubs now but,
surely, they must have proper cars for langer distances.
The Messerschmitt is the most collectable even though, as teenagers we
said that there was definitely one thing, involving a girl, that you could
never do in it as it was a tandem 2 seater under what looked like an
aircraft cockpit. There were stories that it was made from used up
Messerschmitt 109 fighters, which turned out to be a myth.
The single door opening forwards was one advantage of the other two and
they could take three normal sized people side by side on the single bench
seat. They were also almost impossible to turn over however fast you took
a corner. Nothing else to reccomend them though. Noisy and unreliable but
they did about 100+ miles per gallon. There was a British version but I
can't remember the name.
Good luck with the Yellow Catamaran on the waves of lake Simcoe. See Ya
cap'n.
