Bio diesel is available here at the pumps. A few years ago some men were
taking the throw away cooking oil from the fish and chip establishments,
cleaning it and using it in their diesels. I haven't heard any comment on
that recently so I don't know whether it still goes on.
Many people here use LPG in their cars. I used that for years but in my
town the sellers have become greedy and there is now littl advantage in
using it in ths town. In the capital and some country twns it is stil a
big saving over ppetrol as a fuel.
