Hello Bob and other fellow motorists at the fuel pumps
feeding the family chariot...

Last time I looked at the rate of exchange here, our dollar
was at an advantage for cannucks visiting the USA. Not
very good for Canadian companys selling to the US, because they
say the Americans don't like paying the 1 dollar plus on all
they buy ... but then why have trade with the US of more then
70% and cry later ....I'd be looking at the rest of the world
as other countrys do.

I can not remember a time before we had ths advantage...it used
to cost a bundle extra to go to the US...but now they are complaining.

Sign of the times Bob...I'd say.

The only big motor selling now, is for trucks here 5.0litre motors
or 460 motors. Lowsy on gas. I traded the Corolla and 95 van
for a 2005 Dodge Caravan for the trailer, Bob ... that is a 6 popper
I think ...oh dear I forget :) But the standard motor for the
Caravan. I think if I got rid of the trailer, the van would go
for something like what you got. I filled the van for the trip
from here to the airport in Toronto...to pick up Maria, and after
the roundtrip 200km... still near the full notch..so it is operating
at the max...which is what I strive for.

I like the Mazda. My father's last car was one...a Mazda 6 hemi-engine
and it was great on gas. Only problem was the head gasket kept blowing
and oil all over the place... replaced the headcover gasket with
<believe it or not> a Ford Fiesta head cover gasket and all ran forever
after no problems, until my mum traded it in.

Thnaks for the info from OZ ... 73 Pete VE3WBZ

PS: Another advantage of the van ...is seats all fold down behind driver
to make an extra large cargo space... as well space for sleeping on
    a long trip etc...some advantages..eh?
