Hi Paul and all,
OK, "the rule of thirds" is merely an over simplified way of dividfing up
energy input BUT it's not all the same KIND of energy. In other words you
can't mix apples and oranges and expect to count pears.
Now lets go back to school where it all started (or should have) where
you were taught what per cent means, n as compared to 100 maybe? That
alone tells you there can exist no greater than 100/100 or 100% and when
it comes to efficiency (physics) you can't even approach 100% and 300% is
sheer fallacy.
That having been said I urge you to come up with a formula that doesn't
involve percent, especially when what you describe is simple addition.
Trouble is you're dealing with two different things so I'm sorry, I can't
help you there. Eh, when you talk about heat transfer your theory is
sound but your math is way off.
